  • We’re tucked over in the farthest western corner of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, near Ironwood.

  • A tincture is a highly concentrated extraction of the beneficial compounds inside an herb using a powerful solvent, in our case grain alcohol. We use a slow extraction method, so our tinctures are made over a long period of time—about 50 days in total. We start with fresh plant material that is homegrown or foraged in the U.P. of Michigan, then macerate them in alcohol, shaking the material daily and double straining all plant matter out before we bottle.

  • We make our tinctures very concentrated. For example, our Catnip Tincture is made with a 1.25:1 menstruum ratio which means we use more plant material than alcohol to create a highly concentrated extraction. Doing this means each drop packs a bigger punch so you need to use less and your bottle will last you longer.

  • Right here in the UP! We grow everything from seed or cutting. If we can’t grow, didn’t grow, or don’t yield enough of a plant, we have local friends that are amazing growers that we source from. We also forage wild plants that are abundant in our area.

  • We are not organically certified, however we practice clean growing and never use toxic chemicals, chemical pesticides, herbicides or anything harmful on our plants. When we forage we only harvest from non-polluted places that are safe from runoff or other chemical influences.

  • It’s the two of us and our dogs! Rose and Michael do it all from starting the seeds in late winter, maintaining and growing in our short window of summer and preserving and production of our items (and typically way too many salsas). We also run all of our own social media, websites, email communication, etc so you know you’re talking directly to us when you contact us.

  • Yes! Everything, from seeds to tinctures, oils, salves to the drawings on our labels!

We outsource our t-shirts and sweatshirts as they are printed on demand to keep cost down and prevent overproduction.

  • Unfortunately, due to sanitary reasons we cannot accept returns or exchanges. Please read ingredients and follow usage instructions for each product. If you’re having issues with one of our items, please contact us and we will try to remedy the situation.

  • Our oil-based products (roll-ons, drop-ons, salves, balms and bars) are good for about a year. Our alcohol-based products (tinctures) are safe for at least two years if not much longer due to the preservation abilities of the alcohol in them. Powdered products (styptics) are good for many years as long as they are kept dry and stored in a cool, dark place. Always store all of our products in a cool, dark place in order to maximize their longevity.

  • Simply email us at senisefamilyfarms@gmail.com! We’d be happy to connect with you and send you our wholesale information.

  • Our sweet Kalima is named after the Mother Goddess of time, doomsday and death. When there was neither the creation, nor the sun, moon, planets or earth, only darkness, Kali represents the creation of everything out of the void. Our handsome Zuul is named after the demon that possesses Sigourney Weaver’s character in Ghostbusters. Our newest additions are Lurch and Dude Love.
