In time they turn into groups of warm brown stones waiting to be swept away to a fountain of youth, where they dip their toes and become the tongues they were once held by.
Also known as Chinese Forget-Me-Not, this cold-hardy heirloom annual is full of delicate blue blooms that pollinators are in love with, as are we. Reaching up to two feet tall, they self-seed easily. Their seed pods are covered in velcro-like hairs, so don’t be surprised if seeds go for a ride on boots and animals and plants pop up in random areas the following year.
